Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH), a constituent institution of GAK HealthCare International,
conducted a Breast Cancer Awareness Session at Kohinoor Textile Mills in Rawalpindi, as part of the
Hospital’s ongoing commitment to promoting community health and preventive education.
The session, dedicated to female workers of Kohinoor Textile Mills, was led by Dr. Munazzah Aziz,
Assistant Professor of Surgery and In charge of the One-Stop Breast Clinic at ANTH. She delivered an
insightful and interactive lecture covering the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention
of breast cancer. Dr. Munazzah emphasized the importance of early detection and regular self-
examination, guiding participants on how to perform self-screening effectively at home.
The session also featured pink-themed paint and decor activities, creatively symbolizing hope, courage,
and strength in the fight against breast cancer. The event concluded on a heartwarming note with the
distribution of gift bags and informative materials among the participants, celebrating awareness,
empowerment, and solidarity.
The management of Kohinoor Textile Mills appreciated ANTH’s initiative and expressed their gratitude
for conducting such a valuable and informative session. Both sides also reaffirmed their resolve to
continue collaborating on future awareness programs focusing on the prevention and early detection of
various diseases.
