On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day 2026, Dr. Areej Neyazi, Director Dr. Akbar Niazi
Teaching Hospital (ANTH), presented a souvenir to Federal Minister for Planning,
Development and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry, during a high-level
seminar focused on strengthening efforts towards the elimination of Hepatitis C in Pakistan.

The seminar was jointly organized by the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations &
Coordination, Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital, GAK HealthCare International, and other
partners, bringing together government officials, healthcare leaders, policymakers, researchers,
clinicians, and development partners.

The event highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration and coordinated national
efforts towards achieving the vision of a Hepatitis-Free Pakistan by 2030.
