Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH), a constituent institution of GAK HealthCare International, had
the privilege of hosting Raja Usama Ashfaq Sarwar, Honorable Member of the National Assembly of
Pakistan, and Zia Ullah Shah, Honorable Member of the Provincial Assembly, Punjab, and Parliamentary
Secretary, Punjab Emergency Services, during their recent visit to the Hospital.
The esteemed guests were warmly received by Group Chief Executive Officer, GAK HealthCare
International, Yasir Khan Niazi along with members of the senior leadership team. The delegation was
given an extensive tour of ANTH’s world-class healthcare facilities, including its ISO-certified
laboratories, advanced radiology department, 24/7 emergency and trauma services, blood bank,
pharmacies, state-of-the-art Operation Theatres, Cardiac Cath Lab, Critical Care Units (CCU, PICU, NICU),
In-Patient Departments, Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, and Clinical Trial Unit.
A comprehensive briefing was also presented on the Hospital’s specialized services encompassing
cardiology and cardiac surgery, kidney and liver transplantation, dialysis, oncology and neurosurgery,
orthopedics, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, among others.
During the session, the Group CEO apprised the honorable parliamentarians that since the inception of
the Sehat Sahulat Program (SSP), ANTH has been providing high-quality medical care to a large number
of patients from across Pakistan, with a significant portion belonging to Punjab, and particularly to the
Murree District. He further expressed concern over the Hospital’s discontinuation from the Punjab SSP
panel since July 1, 2025, which has affected the continuity of access to these essential healthcare
services for patients from the region.
The Hospital Management requested the visiting parliamentarians to take up this matter with the
relevant authorities to facilitate the reinstatement of Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital under the Punjab
Sehat Sahulat Program, enabling residents of Punjab in general and Murree District in particular to once
again access these world-class, patient-centered healthcare services.
Raja Usama Ashfaq Sarwar and Zia Ullah Shah commended ANTH’s state-of-the-art infrastructure,
modern facilities, quality benchmarks, and the professional excellence of its medical and administrative
teams, while lauding the visionary leadership of GAK HealthCare International. They appreciated the
Hospital’s enduring commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare facilities to the people of
Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Murree, and adjoining regions.
