

Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH), a constituent institution of GAK HealthCare International, had the honor of hosting H.E. Naeem Khan, Ambassador of Pakistan to Rwanda.
The Ambassador’s visit was focused on exploring future opportunities in health tourism, medical education, research, and academic exchange between Pakistan and Africa. He was welcomed by ANTH Director Dr. Areej Neyazi, along with senior members of her team. Mohsin Sarfraz from Health Gateway also attended the meeting as a medical tourism expert.
ANTH leadership briefed the Ambassador on the 500-bed ISO certified tertiary hospital’s vision of delivering world-class yet affordable healthcare, strengthening Pakistan’s global image through medical tourism, and creating meaningful international collaborations. The Ambassador toured key hospital facilities and praised ANTH’s comprehensive multi-disciplinary care, high quality standards, advanced services, and professional team.
Ambassador Naeem Khan highlighted the untapped potential of Pakistan-Africa partnerships in healthcare and medical education, describing them as “mutually beneficial initiatives that uplift communities and strengthen bilateral ties.” He further noted that ANTH represents a perfect fit for such collaborations, given its strong institutional capacity, academic linkages, and commitment to excellence. The Ambassador also extended an invitation to Dr. Areej to visit Rwanda with her team to further explore opportunities firsthand.
Dr. Areej Neyazi said on this occasion that “our goal is to build partnerships that enhance capacity via research and development, enrich medical education, and strengthen healthcare delivery. Such initiatives not only advance our institutional mission but also enhance Pakistan’s position as a trusted partner in global health.” The visit concluded on a positive note, underscoring GAK HealthCare’s commitment to expanding Pakistan’s healthcare footprint abroad while developing strong and lasting ties with Africa.
