Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH), in collaboration with the Lions Clubs of Rawalpindi–Islamabad
and Bardasht Pakistan, organized a Mega Medical Camp at Syeda Hafeeza Begum Welfare Complex,
Tarnol, Islamabad, to expand access to essential healthcare for underserved communities.
1,578 people, including women, children, and the elderly, received medical consultations, diagnostic
services, and medicines under one roof without any charges, easing healthcare burdens and
encouraging timely treatment.
Specialist services were provided in Pediatrics, Gynecology, Psychiatry, Urology, Cardiology,
Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Dermatology, Physical Therapy, as well as Dental and Eye
care. Diagnostic facilities included ECG, bone density, BMI, blood sugar, and blood pressure screening.
Medicines were also provided at no cost by ANTH and Bardasht Pakistan.
Dr. Arif Masood, District Governor Lions Clubs 305-N2 Pakistan, was the Chief Guest who lauded the
initiative. Nilofar Bakhtiar, Patron-in-Chief of Bardasht Pakistan and former Senator and Federal
Minister, appreciated the collaboration with ANTH and the Lions Clubs for such a successful camp.
Yasir Khan Niazi, Group CEO of GAK HealthCare International and ANTH, attended as Guest of Honor and
reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to community health through sustained outreach and
preventive care.
Dignitaries, including Dr. Zubair Hasan, President Bardasht Pakistan, toured the camp, interacted with
patients and healthcare professionals, and reviewed service delivery. The camp was widely welcomed by
local residents as timely, impactful, and reassuring.
