Recently, the Teaching Hospital and Islamabad Medical and Dental College hosted the inauguration of the “Police Facilitation on Wheels” project in collaboration with Islamabad Capital Territory Police and Islamabad Traffic Police. The project aimed to provide driving licenses, learner permits, and other related assistance to students, faculty, and staff of the college within the premises.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Work, AIG Establishment Arslan Shahzeb, and other senior officials of Capital Police as distinguished guests. Dr. Areej Niazi has been nominated as the ambassador for health care and medical education by Islamabad Capital Police and Islamabad Traffic Police. During the ceremony, Dr. Areej was presented with the police blazer as a symbol of the ambassadorship.
Yasir Khan Niazi, the Chief Executive Officer of the college and hospital, expressed his pleasure at being part of this initiative, emphasizing that it not only provides convenience to the community but also strengthens their relationship with law enforcement agencies. He stated, “This collaboration is a practical demonstration of our commitment to promoting road safety and public welfare.”
The program, which ran from 10 am to 2 pm, benefited a large number of students. SP Sarfraz Work thanked the hospital and college administration for their cooperation in raising awareness about community service and road safety.
