Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the
Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP – A Down Syndrome Organisation ), Islamabad Chapter,
marking a significant step toward advancing accessible, high-quality healthcare and promoting inclusion
for individuals with Down syndrome.

Under this partnership, ANTH will provide comprehensive clinical and diagnostic services at substantially
subsidized rates for all registered KDSP patients, families, and employees. ANTH will also support KDSP
through awareness campaigns, outreach activities, training programs, and capacity-building initiatives.

Furthermore, ANTH will work to enhance community understanding of Down syndrome and will
facilitate required support for identified individuals through KDSP. This MoU reflects a shared
commitment to developing a more inclusive, informed, and compassionate society.
