In a significant step towards improving healthcare access for government employees, Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) and The Chief Commissioner Office, Islamabad (ICT Administration) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide comprehensive medical services at discounted rates to the employees of the Chief Commissioner Office Islamabad, Deputy Commissioner office Islamabad and all its attached departments.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Areej Neyazi, Director of ANTH, and Mr. Usman Ashraf, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Islamabad. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Irfan Nawaz Memon, Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Islamabad, Registrar Col (R) Dr Ghulam Mujtaba Abbasi, Mr. Imran Ali Ghouri, Head of Communications ANTH, Muhammad Aftab Ahmed, Project Manager Tobacco Control Cell, Ministry of health, and other notable officials of the ICT Administration.
Under this agreement, ANTH will offer discounts on a wide range of healthcare services, including consultations, inpatient department (IPD) care, operating theatre (OT) procedures & complex surgeries, outpatient department (OPD) services, emergency care, laboratory tests, radiology, blood bank services, and several other available facilities.
Additionally, both organizations have committed to collaborating on disease awareness initiatives. This will involve organizing seminars, lectures, and medical camps aimed at educating government employees and the general public about the prevention of fatal diseases. The ICT Administration will help in advocacy through its network.
The ICT Administration commended the hospital’s efforts in elevating the standards of healthcare delivery and expressed their gratitude for the special discounts extended to ICT Administration employees.
