The event was marked by the presence of the Vice Chancellor of KUM, Prof. Dr. Syed Habib Ali Bokhari, and the Vice Chancellor of CUI, Maj. Gen. (R) Prof. Muhammad Aslam, CEO, CUI, Yasir Khan Niazi, Director ANTH Dr Areej Neyazi, and Registrar Col (R) Dr Ghulam Mujtaba Abbasi to enhance collaboration in academic and research fields.
The MoU outlines initiatives such as short certificate courses in forensic sciences and phlebotomy, hybrid degree programs, and co-supervision of students. Both institutions will also collaborate on research projects, including COVID-19 microfluidic diagnostic devices and nutritional trials and the initiation of the diagnostic laboratory at KUM. The partnership includes access to digital libraries and health insurance packages for KUM employees, provided by Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital.
The ceremony concluded with a plantation drive by worthy CEO, CUI, Yasir Khan Niazi, the exchange of shields, and a media briefing. This partnership marks a significant step forward in strengthening the educational and research capabilities of both institutions.
